Celebrating the health and wellbeing benefits of pets

Today more than half of UK households own a pet. From dogs and cats to tropical fish and snakes, the UK’s fascination with pets has grown over the past four years. For some people it’s about companionship, for others pet ownership helps to regulate their health and wellbeing. On 11 April each year the UK honours the bond between animal and owner with National Pet Day.
