How long have you lived in East Sussex? Do you think you know the district you live in like the back of your hand? Results from the 2021 Census are out now and show some fascinating changes to our county’s profile.

For instance, did you know that the average age of people living in Lewes district is now 48, up from 45 in 2011? This area has a higher average age than both the South East (41 years) and England as a whole (40 years).

The results also showed that around 53,820 East Sussex residents (9.9%) were born outside of the UK — an increase of 10,970 (25.6%) since 2011.

The Government’s Office for National Statistics has put together an interesting quiz based on the latest data, so why don’t you have a go and see if you know your area as well as you think. The results might surprise you.
