This September there are two walking festivals you can join, with everything from coastal treks to countryside strolls which are bound to boost your mood. There is something for everyone no matter your age or ability.

The High Weald Walking Festival: 11 – 19 September 2021

Enjoy all that the High Weald landscape has to offer with a selection of walking routes.

Walks include a circular route of Burwash, a walk through western High Weald full of woods and farmland, Buchan Country Park, plus more. Expect to spot plenty of wildlife and enjoy beautiful countryside sites.

You can choose from a guided walk or select a self-guided walk in Wealden (available from 1 September).

Eastbourne Walking Festival: 17 – 26 September 2021

The Eastbourne Walking Festival has more than 70 walks to choose from. Discover trails, coastal paths and learn more about the history of Eastbourne.

Journey to the Holywell spring, enjoy a circular walk of Butts Brow, explore Folkington, the Seven Sisters and, many more. Information about using public transport to get to destinations is provided.
