Raising Our Voices is a creative writing workshop by Olumide Poopola for experienced writers who identify as BIPOC. This event is part of a wider digital programme of activity produced by Writing Our Legacy.
A strong voice makes a piece of writing stand out and come alive. This workshop, led by Olumide Popoola, will help you explore the idea of voice in writing.
As BIPOC writers it is important that we can lift our voices without being pushed to the margins or ignored for our themes, backgrounds, or ways of expression.
This workshop will help you explore your own voices in a supportive environment.  The workshop will include looking at short extracts from published pieces, writing exercises, and sharing with the group.
Please join through the instructions provided in your Eventbrite confirmation and reminder emails. If you need help or have any further questions, please contact: mohammed@writingourlegacy.org.uk
Supported by Arts Council England and Brighton & Hove City Council
Please note, all tickets are non-refundable.
