Do you want to make a difference to your local community?
Do you have a business idea that could tackle social problems, improve people’s life chances, provide training and employment opportunities for local people, support communities or help the environment? If so, then you may want to consider starting a Social Enterprise.
Social Enterprises are businesses that are changing the world for the better. Like traditional businesses they aim to make a profit but it’s what they do with their profits that sets them apart – reinvesting or donating them to create positive social change.
Edeal is working with Lewes District Council to offer residents the opportunity to explore setting up a Social Enterprise. Our FREE 2-hour virtual workshop delivered via Zoom will cover

What is a Social Enterprise?
What are the steps involved in setting up a Social Enterprise?
Where can you access further support in order to start a Social Enterprise?
How do you form an action plan to progress your idea for a Social Enterprise?

Our workshop will be delivered by Josh Babarinde OBE. Josh is an award-winning Forbes 30 Under 30 social entrepreneur, having founded Cracked It, the social enterprise tech repair service supporting ex-offenders away from crime and into employment. Cracked It was named Social Enterprise of the Year in 2018 and in 2019.
Now, Josh advises social enterprises on how to maximise their trading and their impact, as well as supporting social entrepreneurs to develop their leadership skills.
Following the initial workshop, further support will be available to progress your Social Enterprise via an additional workshop and 1-2-1 support.
