This is an opportunity to support volunteers from Ore Community Land Trust to make Speckled Wood more accessible.
Come and join our volunteering team, with Abby and Craig [Craig’s cabin] to help improve and maintain Speckled Wood. Spend some time outdoors, digging and maintaining pathways bridges and steps, sharing knowledge and skills.
You will learn about conservation and pathway maintenance
There will be some elements of garden maintenance, horticulture, plant ID and seasonal awareness included
Gardening gloves will be useful if you have them
Steel toe-capped boots, or tough boots, and tough trousers are also useful, and something to kneel on may be useful
We will provide tools and additional gardening gloves, which will be disinfected according to Covid guidance. We will also have a few pairs of steel toe-capped boots available to borrow.
