Most of us are familiar with Worthing, but how much do you really know about it? Join us for a promenade to explore the inside story of Worthing’s relationship with the sea – the fishing industry, seawater cures, the invention of the seaside holiday and all those fun and niche little things you never knew about the area you live in. There is A LOT to explore trust us.
Although we are out for an hour and a half the actual distance walked is less than a mile long, is step free, there are multiple loos along the way and a hot drink waiting for us at the end!
Guided by Ric Morris, of Only In Brighton of Piers and Queers fame. It’s not to be missed!
This event is organised by the Marine Conservation Society as part of the Wild Coast Sussex project, made possible by the National Heritage Lottery Fund thanks to National Lottery players. Wild Coast Sussex is led by Sussex Wildlife Trust, with Marine Conservation Society, Sussex IFCA and SeaLife Brighton. The project aims to inspire Sussex communities to care for the marine environment and enable them to protect their local coast and sea.
