Community Chef CIC is launching a new program of cookery classes and demonstrations with an emphasis on low cost and healthy meals, for people experiencing food poverty. The courses are hands on and for very small groups in a spacious and well ventilated kitchen which is 100% C-19 compliant. In addition to helping participants to learn to cook and manage their food budgets, our aim is to support people who have been isolated during the pandemic and give them the opportunity to gently ease their way back into participating in positive community activities.
We are starting our first 5 week course at the Lewes Community Kitchen on the 20th May with more courses running there and in a variety of locations later in the year. The courses are free for people on low income and places can be booked by either emailing firstname.lastname@example.org or Book Online (There is a small booking fee if booking online and this is refunded to the participants on attendance)
