Carers Week is taking place on 7th–13th June 2021 and celebrates and recognises the vital contribution made by the UK’s 6.5 million unpaid carers – over 69,000 in East Sussex. This year’s focus is ‘Making Caring Visible and Valued’. There are lots of way to get involved, and a bumper itinerary of free events, activities and carers groups are taking place during the week and throughout June, so don’t miss out!
Carers Week events
Carers O’Clock Drop-In Day, 8th June
Celebrate Carers Week and join a drop-in day of creativity, conversation and getting together with other carers. Enjoy activities, drinks and lunch prepared by a  professional chef.  Go to the Care for the Carers website for more information, or just drop in anytime between 10am and 6pm. Free. Takes place at Community Wise, Ocklynge Road, Eastbourne BN21 1PY.
Benefits Talk for Carers, 8th June
Join this online talk with Teresa Andrews from Hastings Advice and Representation Centre about benefits, with the chance to ask questions. 6pm. Free. Contact Care for the Carers  for joining details.
Carers Wellbeing Cruise, 9th June

Carer Awareness Training, 9th June

Walk and Talk with Coffee, 10th June
