Starring singers Matt Ford (BBC Proms, Friday Night Is Music Night) and Nicola Emmanuelle (star of the West End’s Rat Pack), we celebrate a century of swing.
From Gershwin’s Rhapsody in Blue through Benny Goodman, Glenn Miller, Duke Ellington, Count Basie and our own Ted Heath, we trace the development of big band music.
Also featuring the songs of Frank Sintatra, Ella Fitzgerald, Peggy Lee and Harry Connick Jr. This all-star 17-piece big band is heard regularly on BBC Radio 2 and in concert halls around Britain.
