Next week is National Apprenticeship Week and to mark the awareness week, free drop-in events are being held so businesses can find out more about apprenticeships in East Sussex.
If you run a small or medium sized businesses based in East Sussex, you are invited to attend one of the drop-in session to ask any questions about apprenticeships. Come along to learn how they work, find out how you can access funding, and what support is available.

The drop-in events are free and are being held across the county from 10 to 14 February:
Lewes District
Monday 10 February, 9.30 am-12.30 pm at Newhaven Enterprise Centre, Denton Island, Newhaven BN9 9BA
Wealden District
Tuesday 11 February, 10.30 am-1.30 pm at Uckfield Civic Centre (Ashdown Room), Uckfield TN22 1AE
Hastings Borough
Wednesday 12 February, 10.30 am-1.30 pm at Hastings Centre, The Ridge, Hastings, TN34 2SA
Eastbourne Borough
Thursday 13 February, 10.30 am-1.30 pm at East Sussex College Training Hub, 3A Hampden Retail Park, Eastbourne BN23 6QU
Rother District
Friday 14 February, 10.00 am-11.30 am at Rye Library, 30A High Street, Rye TN31 7JG

Transform Service
The drop-in events are being run by the Transform Service, which is the county council’s programme to support small and medium sized organisations that want help to fill skills gaps in their current and future workforce.
The service provides businesses with tailored 1:1 information as well as impartial advice and guidance about apprenticeships and skills training options and help to access funding that covers the cost of apprenticeship training.

If you run a local business and would like to find out more but are unable to make an event, you can book a meeting with a specialist adviser instead.

This year’s theme is Skills for Life. NAW 2025 aims to encourage everyone to consider and celebrate how apprenticeships and skills help individuals develop rewarding careers, and employers to develop a workforce with future-ready skills.
