Whether you’re planning on having a spring, summer or winter wedding, the venue is key. For Wedding Planning Day on 1 March, we’ve got some venue inspiration from across East Sussex and open days happening this month.

Both the Eastbourne Town Hall and Southover Grange events will give you the chance to meet some fantastic local suppliers, who will be showcasing their products and services and providing you with some inspiration for the big day.

Eastbourne wedding venue

Eastbourne Town Hall

Open day: Saturday 23 March 2019 from 10am to 2pm
Location: Grove Rd, BN21 4UG Eastbourne, East Sussex

Don’t miss out on your chance to look around this historic building and view the magnificent ceremony rooms. Eastbourne Town Hall was built in traditional Victorian style in 1887. As you approach the Town Hall you are greeted with a magnificent pillared entrance, walking up the stone steps that will lead you into the main entrance hall with its original terrazzo flooring.

There are three beautiful ceremony rooms within the Town Hall:

  • The Mayor’s Parlour (can accommodate 30 guests)
  • The Council Chamber (accommodates 60 people)
  • The Court Room (accommodates 80 people)

Southover Grange wedding venue

Southover Grange, Lewes

Open day: Sunday 7 April 2019 from 10am to 2pm
Location: Southover High Street, BN7 1AB Lewes, East Sussex

Situated in the beautiful Southover Grange public gardens in Lewes, this 16th century Grade II-listed manor house is a stunning setting for any type of ceremony. Southover Grange is located in the beautiful Southover gardens, which is home to some magnificent trees, including one of the oldest Mulberry trees in England, estimated to be more than 350 years old. Colourful plants decorate the gardens and can be enjoyed throughout the changing seasons, giving you the perfect backdrop for your ceremony photos.

The Grange boasts two beautiful ceremony rooms:

  • The Evelyn Room (accommodates 30 people)
  • The Ainsworth Room (accommodates 60 people)

Crowborough wedding venue

Crowborough Register Office

Open day: Saturday 30 March 2019, 10am to 2pm
Location: Hookstead, Goldsmith’s Avenue, Crowborough, TN6 1RH

Crowborough Register Office is situated at Hookstead, very close to the Ashdown Forest on the East Sussex and Kent border. The bright ceremony room is on the ground floor with views of the garden, which can be used for photographs after your ceremony. The venue can seat 40 people.

The venue benefits from plenty of private parking, and good disabled access and facilities.
